Us
Editorial
Code and Data, Inc. (ECDI) has a straightforward mission:
to produce good reference materials and informational tools
that are used with confidence and ease.
Founded
in 1990, ECDI is the successor of a software consultancy begun
in 1986. During our first ten years in business we have produced
110 products; 13 interactive CD-ROM database packages, 6 custom
database programs for publishers (what we call database editors),
and 91 reference books. We are proud to say that 6 of these
products have received national awards.
Until
1998 all of the products we made were produced under contract
for publishers, large corporations, and/or government entities.
Market Size is one of the first products that we are bringing
to the market under our own name. It's a bit of a challenge
for us since we don't have a distribution network established.
But, from the feedback we have received so far, we are confident
that Market Size is a terrifically useful tool and will find
its place in the market.
Our great
strength comes from our experience with the art of statistical
data presentation. Identifying useful data sets, extracting
the items of most value on a subject, and combining various
such extracts into one comprehensive and useful tool is what
we do best. Thus, we have developed skills with data manipulation,
typesetting, database design, indexing, data conversion and
translation, as well as electronic data presentation software
design. These are all services that we offer individually
or as part of a comprehensive project.
